Silly Vids!

I recorded Audrey being silly today. I thought it was about time to get something on video... it's been awhile. The first one is especially for Grandma and Grandpa Porowski! Enjoy! (By the way, she hurt her leg right at the end of this video, so thus her frown... she wasn't upset at what she was saying!)

This one is sideways, and I am too tired to figure out how to fix it. Sorry! :p

Happy Thursday!

A Few Things

We are keeping busy! Time for another update. See, I'm still trying to be a good little blogger! :)

Last weekend we went with our good friends Dave, Katie, and Brianna to the nearby river with all of our doggies. Gabby, Sasha, and Molly love the water and swam their little hearts out as usual. Audrey and Brianna loved it too!

Such good pups!

Stripped of her soaked clothes, snacking and ready to go home. :)

I got my hair cut, thanks to a wonderful gift from Jim and Kris, Eric's parents! I LOVE getting my hair done, and I found a hairstylist I LOVE this time around! I'm so going back to see her soon!

Here are a couple random shots of Audrey, being cute and making herself comfortable. :)

Hope you all had a great week - yay for weekends!

Shakespeare In The Park

I had a WONDERFUL time with some friends this past weekend. We went to see Much Ado About Nothing at Schiller Park - what a cool place.

Katie and I :)

The park is beautiful. I had never been there, and really enjoyed it.

The girls! This is before Kelsey arrived.

The stage was set up with 360 seating, so people sat all around the back edges of the stage. Right before the play started, we were invited to sit up there. I loved it! We were close enough to see and hear the actors really well.

From our new seats:

More of the park:

After dark, the spotlights came on and were quite bright, as you can see. It was a little distracting, especially for taking pictures, so I only took a few. Here are Benedick and Beatrice grudgingly professing their love for each other:

Leonato and Claudio, who you can actually see here:

Hero, the scorned bride.

Not great pictures of the actors, but it gives you an idea of what it was like to be there. I loved it! Good times with great friends. Thanks ladies!

Summer Fun

I thought I'd post a few random pics that sum up what we've been up to this past week!

I turned 28 on July 13th (I know, scary), and we had a lovely time at Buca Di Beppo with Eric's parents! I love the food and atmosphere there, and it's one of my favorite restaurants.

The cake was GIGANTIC and we ended up only eating a little sliver of it... it was DELICIOUS though, topped off by this amazing coconut frosting.

Good thing I sent the leftovers to sound tech practice with Eric!

The Lord has provided another vehicle for our household!! Our good friends Dave and Laura recently moved away as I've mentioned a few times (*sigh* this is a sad thing for me), and ended up not needing this super sexy Plymouth Voyager van... candy apple red and complete with wood paneling! We are so thankful for it, despite the fact that I have always promised never to be a "mini van mom". Ah well. We take what we are blessed with, and as they say, never look a gift horse in the mouth! :) We love you Beres clan!!!

The van, now affectionately dubbed Big Red, is in GREAT condition and runs beautifully. It's only drawback is that the air conditioning is not functioning, but we'll live. Audrey LOVES to ride and sit in it. "Vaaaaan mommy? Vaaaaaan??"

Audrey has been very into tents and forts this week. We've humored her of course. I'm gonna have to wash all my sheets again soon.

Wearing cereal on our faces is a normal occurrence around here:

We love our friends Lesley and Emma, and had fun playing together at the park this morning! Whew, the humidity made for some sweaty little girls!

I hope you all are having a great week. Stay cool - it's nasty out there! :)

Cow Appreciation Day - that's right!

Today is Cow Appreciation Day. What better way to celebrate than to dress up like cows, am I right?! Chick-Fil-A had a promotion going on that catered directly to those crazy cow lovers... and so, we ate chicken today, all the while filled with much bovine gratitude and recognition. *nod*

It was great fun! Thanks for the fun costume props, Lesley!

Lesley and Emma all ready to go!

Silly Mommy.

Daniel, Kate, and Bekah all cow'd up.

Just a random picture from today that made me smile.
She looks so grown up here, watching tv.

Play Group At The Pool!

My playgroup met this morning at a wonderful pool in a neighboring town. They have a GREAT kiddie pool and all of our kids loved it!

Audrey's good friend Emma:

Our dear friends Laura and Ava (and baby B!), who are moving away this weekend. =( We love you guys and will miss your tremendously!

Ava and Brianna enjoying the water:

Good friends Laura and Katie watching the kiddies play - the kids weren't the only ones who enjoyed the water, as you can see!

Audrey LOVES the water and it was great fun to watch her play in it. She even went down the slides and only cried for a moment after going down head first. :) Tough girl!
