New Family Photos!

Thanks to Laird Photography, we have some beeeeautiful new pictures of our family of three! Katie, you do wonderful work - thanks so much!!! These were taken at the GORGEOUS Inniswood Gardens, very close to our home. The beauty there is simply breathtaking. We had a fun time there. Enjoy! (Click for big versions.)

Daddy making Audrey "Fly!"

I'm just glad she flew safely! Haha!

We had to assure her a few times that the water wasn't scary.

"Bug!"

Looking at the water.

Audrey and Eric love each other SO much - it's really special!!

Sweet baby blue eyes!

The trickling stream was more calm and appealing.

Yes, she is cutting her two year molars. Not fun. For anyone. Anyone within line of sight or earshot (a.k.a. tantrum range!).

So much love for my little monkey.

Eric is SUCH a wonderful daddy.

I love to watch them together. He is always teaching or helping her with something, and she eats up the attention and knowledge he has to share. So much love between these two.

She's still worried about the waterfall being a bit scary.

My love!

"Plane!"

So silly. :)

There's my happy girl!

Eric and I each take one of her hands and say, "1...2...3...WHEEEE!!" and swing her in the air. She is trying to do WHEEEE by herself. :)

Thanks again Katie and Laird Photography for such wonderful pictures!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Audrey!

Audrey turned 2 on April 4th, but since her birthday landed on Easter Sunday this year, we decided to have her party the following weekend. My friend Lesley is very creative and makes wonderful cakes, and agreed to help me with my Wallace and Gromit themed cake, YAY! We had a blast creating the Wensleydale cheese wheel (Wallace and Gromit's favorite brand of cheese). Check it out:

We decorated a separate slice for Audrey to devour during her party. It may be hard to see in the picture, but it looks like a slice of cheese with crackers on the side! "I'm just crackers about cheese!" ~Wallace

The spread. Cheese and crackers of course, "Veg", some other snackies, and sloppy joes and punch not pictured.

Many of Audrey's little friends came to the party, and everyone had a great time.

Enjoying the sunshine in the back yard:

Audrey's little friend Emma:

Tired already. :)

Emma cracks me up! "Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeese!"

More of Audrey's buddies: Ava and Nolan. :)

There's Brianna on Dave's shoulders - another of Audrey's little buddies!

"Hey Nolan, look over there!" Glug glug glug. Grin.

Happy birthday, my beautiful, sweet Audrey girl!

Proof of Spring

Freshly cut grass not only smells sweet, it is also the most fun to run and play in.

On a side note. My sweet Audrey turned 2 yesterday. Happy birthday baby girl!!!!!!! I love you more than you will ever know, and praise Jesus for you every single day. May you grow to love Him and live for Him! Pics of her 2nd birthday party to follow later this week.

Spring Is Finally Here

This morning was beautiful. The sun was shining, a cool breeze was blowing (quite strongly actually, it was wonderful), and it was about 75 degrees. We simply HAD to get out of the house - the park was calling!! We all went, even the doggies, and had a really fun time.

Audrey LOVES spending time with Daddy. She giggles incessantly when he is chasing her ("I'm gonna get you! I'm gonna get you!"), which is really hilarious to watch.

This kid loves the slides:

Eric helped her across this "bridge", after which she kept asking for him to help her again, over and over!

Don't worry. She was lathered with sunblock.

The pups would live in the fields if they could, chasing their frisbee all day, every day. Gabby especially.

Audrey loves our dogs, and enjoys playing with them. She calls them "Gobby" and "Satha" and has no problem telling them "No, doggies!" or "Come!" or "Sit!".

Anticipation. It's a horrible thing.

Sasha

The weather has cooled down considerably with the coming of an afternoon storm. Even so, all of the windows in the house are open and the wind is blowing through. I adore it. I love the wind and wish it would come around more often.

Audrey and I have enjoyed some wonderful play time with some good friends this past week. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera for each of the two outings we had! Ugh. Thankfully, my friend Lesley (who takes beautiful pictures!) brought hers along, and you can see her pictures HERE and HERE.

Happy Easter everyone! Have a beautiful weekend, filled with the blessings and love of the Lord. Praise Jesus for dying for us on the cross and rising again, conquering death and sin and making it possible for us to become clean and forgiven!!!
