Finally...

Bloggy blog overhaul in progress. The header isn't done yet... I'm just testing some new stuff all around. If you wanna tell me if you like it so far, go for it! :) Pardon the mess, construction will be done soon!

WHY?!?!

For serious people, why is it so hard to find time to keep this bloggy blog blog updated?! GEESH! And it still needs a graphically graphical overhaul! I have ideas. Ideas that need to be turned into REALITY already.

I have been CRAZY busy lately. Don't worry, sometime during this century I WILL get this thing looking pretty and at least a little more active. Oh and I have a kazillion photos to post.

Here is what I've been up to in no specific order:

~ Running around town with Audrey, or is it, running after Audrey around town?
~ Taking lots of photos.
~ Doing lots of graphic arts.
~ Going through some trials and rough stuff.. such is life... trying to hang in.
~ Playing lots of video games.
~ Hanging out with friends, lots.
~ Singing and playing piano on worship team at church.

More to come... I know I know, I say that a lot! I need more hours in the day... or maybe I just need to PRIORITIZE! Hrmph! Too many things I want to do right now! :p

Graphicals

Graphicals is too a word, even if I made it up... it's a word! :p Here are a few postcards I created today for a client. Whatcha think? (Click for original size)

The first one I made from what I saw in my head (aka, what I was inspired to make), and the second one is the original concept I was told to make. The client went with the first one. :)

So much for blogging more. Every time I start blogging more, I start feeling stressed about keeping on top of it, and eventually give up! I'm not sure how to fix that, but for now.. I'll just post a pic! YAY!

I took this yesterday on one of Audrey and my walks Uptown. I'll post more a little later, but this is my favorite. Possibly my favorite photo ever taken, just possibly. I sort of feel like it defines my style as a photographer. Anyway, more later. Click for big versions! Here's the original:

Final thought of the night. When I grow up, I wanna be like Ree Drummond. If the name sounds familiar, you've probably seen her blog, www.thepioneerwoman.com. Her life does not look as if it is easy and I know for a fact it can't be. However, it appears so romantic. I want to wake up every morning, go out and take pictures of the horses and animals and kids and myriads of other things with my hilariously expensive and beautiful camera, and then blog about them in my fashionably witty way. All the while being an amazing cook, an amazing mom (wife, sister, et al.), photographer, etc. etc. etc. Seriously, I'm desperately jealous in the very best way. Maybe I can be my own version of her, with the ridiculously less stylish life I live. I have spunk, sometimes loads of it, so I can do it. Right?

Thanks Trish, for making me curious about the Pioneer Woman again. I haven't looked at her site lately and I totally got lost in it again today. Love ya girl!
